The SaltConf15 mobile event guide provides all the descriptions and day, time and room details on all SaltConf15 activities, keynotes and breakout sessions. We have six concurrent tracks of breakout sessions and the mobile event guide will help you navigate and plan for all the content SaltConf15 has to offer. While anybody can view the mobile event guide, only registered SaltConf15 attendees can use the guide to build personalized schedules and interact with other attendees. (If you are registered for SaltConf15, check your email for details on how to log in to the mobile event guide using the same email you used to register for the conference.)
SaltConf15 at a glance
SaltConf15 offers three full days of pure SaltStack data flow including pre-conference training on March 3, plus talks and keynotes by SaltStack customers and users, core engineers, developers and partners offered March 4 – 5.
Tuesday, the first day of SaltConf15, will consist of pre-conference training classes led by SaltStack core engineers and trainers. Class content is designed to be suitable for SaltStack experts and beginners alike. To take advantage of favorable pricing on pre-conference SaltStack training, attendees must also be registered for SaltConf15 proper. Register now.
SaltStack Certified Engineer exam
Exclusive and free to SaltConf15 pre-conference training attendees, the SaltStack Certified Engineer exams are available starting on Tuesday from 5:30-6:00pm and on Wednesday from 3:30-5:00pm. Stop by the SaltConf15 registration and information desk for more information and to get access to the exam.
SaltConf15 welcome reception
Tuesday night at 7:00pm, join SaltStack and the SaltConf15 sponsors for an evening of food, drink and real-life social networking. Connect with SaltConf15 sponsors and your peers in the Salt Shack expo hall. Kick back, relax and get energized for the launch of SaltConf15.
Keynotes and breakout sessions
Wednesday and Thursday, days two and three of SaltConf15, consist of more than 60 breakout sessions and keynotes providing extensive opportunity to learn about the power of SaltStack. The SaltConf15 agenda is built for systems administrators, Web-scale cloud builders and architects, enterprise IT operators, IT directors and managers, developers, DevOps and site reliability engineers.
SaltConf15 keynotes will be delivered by smart people including:
- Marc Chenn and Thomas Hatch of SaltStack;
- Mac Devine and Phil Jackson of IBM;
- Milind Gadre of VMware;
- Andrew Phillips of XebiaLabs;
- Matthew Prince of CloudFlare.
These keynotes have been added to the incredible lineup of SaltConf15 breakout sessions which includes talks from SaltStack core engineers and customers like Cisco, OpenX, Clemson University, Lyft, Overstock.com and dozens more.
SaltConf15 happy hour, conference party and Salt Sprint
The SaltStack community is comprised of builders and makers. The maker-themed SaltConf15 conference party will inspire your inner creator. On Wednesday night starting at 6:00pm the Salt Shack will host a happy hour followed by the conference party which will include a brew master demonstration station, sponsored by SoftLayer, an IBM Company, a Google Cardboard station for DIY virtual reality, a NASA robot and robotics team from the University of Utah, and much engineered entertainment from Two Bit Circus.
In addition, SaltStack makers have an opportunity to put ideas into action at the next Salt Sprint Get your make on with the SaltStack engineering team Wednesday night at 6:00pm. Nicole Thomas of SaltStack and Nitin Madhok of Clemson University will open the Salt Sprint with an introduction to developing SaltStack.
